Anyone out there own or have operated a TD-1100 Tri-deck finish mower. This is an 11ft. finish mower built by Bush Hog.If so,I've got a couple of questions;what is the quality of the cut? Does it seem to be a maintenance hog? With all the drive-shafts and u-joints,and gear boxes, looks like it could be.Also dealer says a Kubota L3010 will handle the mower with ease,is a 30 H.P. tractor really healthy enough? Also, what is the maneuverability like? Many thanks for any answers or comments.

I have used BusH Hog products in the past. That being the TDM15 and the TD15. The TDM15 was a maintenance nightmare, not to mention that it took a 100hp tractor to pull it, but the quality of the cut was the best that I had ever seen. The TD15 works fine, but I feel that the quality of the cut is really inferior. I changed to the Land Pride line of flex wing mowers the quality of the cut is far suoerior to the Bush Hog. At this time I am using their 11' flex wing mower while I wait for a 14' to arrive. I feel that the Land Pride mowers have a much better grass dispersal pattern. The Bush Hog mowers will wind row and clump the clippings. I hope that this helps.

Patrick,Thanks for your imput,I've looked at the Landpride line of mowers on the web,but not first hand.I know they make a good product, and we have a dealer close by,I'll have stop by and grab a broucure. The 11 ft. Bush hog mower outweighs the Landpride by about 400+ pounds,I figured most of the weight diff. was in the decks themselves, the Bush Hog uses 7 gauge steel verses 10 gauge the Landprides are made of.But 10 gauge is pretty healthy for deck material,I'm looking for a good quality cut and a long mower life combined.Do you think a L3010/L3410 would have plenty of PTO H.P. to handle that 11 footer your using now? Also what would be a fair price on the Landpride? Thanks again,Mike ....
